About Mark Veltzer
My name is Mark Veltzer and I am a software engineer from Israel.
I work mostly in and around Linux -- C, C++, Python, Rust and the systems layer underneath them -- and I have spent a good part of my career teaching those subjects as well as writing them. Much of the teaching material I use is published on this site under Syllabi and Slides.
Outside work I read and listen a great deal, play chess, and keep a public record of both: the Media section tracks the books, talks, courses and films I go through, and Chess holds my games with a viewer to play them out. The blog is where the longer writing lands, in English and in Hebrew, on programming, mathematics, religion and philosophy.
